Our staff includes 8 cardiac sonographers (Queensland University of Technology trained) and 2 exercise physiologists. We provide high quality clinical services utilising innovative, highly integrated, state of the art equipment. We have access to a new coronary angiography lab, 320 slice CT scanner and MRI. We have an extensive, nationally recognised, regional outreach service. Our modern, purpose-built rooms provide a professional, harmonious and supportive working environment, with facilities for telemedicine and leading practice software integration and data management.

We are seeking an imaging cardiologist. Completion of a fellowship in echocardiography or multi-imaging specialty is essential. Expertise in transthoracic echo is essential and skills in stress echo, contrast and 3D echo, paediatric echo, congenital echo or other imaging modalities would be highly valued. Applicants must be eligible for a Medicare provider number. High level interpersonal and communication skills and a track record of working harmoniously and collaboratively in a team environment are essential prerequisites for this role.

We are seeking a pleasant, caring and experienced interventional cardiologist who must be able to work well within our team and possess the judgement and skills to operate confidently without local cardiac surgical support.
Charles Clinic initiated the building of a private angiography Lab with Calvary St Vincent’s hospital which opened in 2017. The fully equipped Philips lab is now approved for angioplasty services.
We have increasing demand for angiography and angioplasty services with outstanding capacity for long term significant growth. Calvary is in the process of establishing a coronary care unit.
Our staff include seven cardiac sonographers, two exercise physiologists and a large administrative support team. We have an extensive, nationally recognised, regional outreach program throughout the north of the state and are currently building a diagnostic centre at Burnie in the North West.
Our modern rooms provide a professional, harmonious and supportive working environment utilising leading practice software integration and data management. We provide a full range of high-quality non-invasive and pacemaker services using state of the art equipment. We have established a cardiac rehabilitation and risk factor management service and close affiliations with major local and Victorian hospitals.
Applicants for this position must be eligible for registration with AHPRA (Medical Board of Australia) together with a cardiology accredited fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians, or equivalent specialist overseas qualification. Remuneration will be based on skills and experience.
